Hi, I’m Emerson Barnett. My friends call me Emmo. Currently I’m a sophomore at the University of Evansville studying Mechanical Engineering. My hobbies are weight training, biking, go-karting, and other forms of auto-racing. I have Cerebral Palsy. I first got introduced to the Timmy Foundation through Dr. Chuck Dietzen, who is my doctor. In the summer of 2000 I went on a medical mission trip to Quito, Ecuador. Two years later, when I was 18, I went back with my family. Then in the fall of 2003 I went to the Dominican-Republic. I also was a board member from 1999 until 2003 when I left for college. My next objective is to cross the country on my bike with my brother and father. We are doing this to bring awareness and raise money for underprivileged kids. To get aid to them we’re working through our friends at the Timmy Foundation

Besides being the best person in the group..(ha...ha).. my name is Patrick Barnett. I enjoy playing soccer, biking, swimming competitively, and playing computer games. I have graduated from University High School on June 4th, and will be attending the University of Evansville along with my brother. I have been involved with the Timmy Foundation through my brother Emmo, and have done numerous volunteer opportunities over the years including traveling to Quito, Ecuador. I am the web master of this site, so I apologize in advance for all mistakes i have maid :)... I am doing this site off of one year of intro. web design, so it is a little rough. My mom will be updating it while I am gone and sending the updates to Mike at Most LLC.
This ride across the country is going to be one of the coolest things I have ever done, and I am really looking forward to it. Not only do we get great exercize and it gives us something to do over the summer, but we get to help out a great foundation. I hope that we can keep you entertained with our daily updates that we will be making along the ride.

As the wife of Jim and mother of Emmo and Patrick, I didn't even consider attempting to do this. 3800 miles! Over mountains! Besides somebody has to take care of the house and dogs and updating this website. Although I will be at home working during most of the ride, I plan to join them during the last week. At that point I'll be driving the support vehicle.
Frankly, I couldn't be prouder of my husband and sons and their noble goal. They never considered doing a cross-country ride until they thought of it as a way to help children through the Timmy Foundation and United Cerebral Palsy. I have promised them I will keep busy so I won't worry too much.
